Access Statement
Introduction:
NVTC annual Vintage Rally is a display of exhibits which are deemed classic or vintage & manufactured from a date, pre 2000. The Rally is situated at the disused Brunton Airfield at Christon Bank near Alnwick.
NVTC have access to acres of mixed ground of agricultural field grass and old tarmac.
The Vintage Rally exhibits are displayed on one of two tarmac runways and areas of grass too.
There are two Marquees. One contains tables of crafts for sale or display. The other contains a bar area and indoor seating - for consumption of food in inclement weather.
The tarmac runway from the public car park is level with a mostly even surface. There are Trade Marquees on either side of this passage. The runways where the exhibits pitch are gradually increasing with a mostly even surface.
The meadow grass surface of the car park and that of the Marquees’ flooring can be pitted and uneven from previous use by farm animals.
As we are celebrating and displaying old vehicles and machinery there can be sudden loud noises, roaring engines, whistles, horns, steam & smoke.
Wheelchair users, Mobility Scooters and Pushchairs etc can access all exhibitor areas and the Marquees. However, in 2025, access to the ploughing field will be weather dependent as the field surface may be wet and muddy.
